Getting to Know SE Portland Neighborhoods

The Portland Metro area has five main quadrants:

N Portland
NW Portland
NE Portland
SW Portland
SE Portland

The Lents Neighborhood in SE Portland being one of the many that make up the SE Portland quadrant.
The Lents Neighborhood was originally built in 1912 on the (then) outskirts of Portland. 
Lents in SE Portland was originally platted as the Town of Lent by Oliver P. Lent (1830â€"1899) in 1892. The Lents neighborhoodis located approximately 6 miles from Downtown Portland in the SE area and is in the 97226 Zip Code.

In recent years, Portland has seen the potential value of the Lents neighborhood and established it as an Urban Renewal Area, which allows the city to bond on future increases in property tax revenues to fund capital projects throughout the Lents Town Center Urban Renewal Area. Many new homes and businesses have been established and more are planned. The social media phenom has been going on for a few years now.  The "linked," "liked," "circled," "friended," "followed" "connected" is the way we interact with our on-line friends, family, business associates, etc.
I get that.
Last week I accepted a request in Google and added this person to my "Circle."  
I didn't really know him, but my computer said that we had twenty-five gazillion friends in common . . . so who am I to disagree with my computer?  It even showed me some of our mutual friends profile pics.  
When I added him to my "circle" I was allowing him to swim in my stream.
This week I deleted him.  Ignored, unfriended . . . OMIGOSH I can not keep up.
But he was g-o-n-e.
Why?
Because he posted something which appeared on my stream and what he posted was just this side of porn.
I'm sure the twenty-five gazillion of our mutual friends got the same post in their stream too.
If you're not checking the "newsfeeds," the "streams," the "links," the "tweets," the "twits," for those people you've "friended" "followed" "linked" "liked" "circled" . . .
 you are allowing people to phish in your stream 
Perhaps it's because I'm older now and feel like saying "HEY you kids . . . get off my lawn."
I actually don't want to see a bootilicious woman streaming on my site with an invite to come and party at the after-hours club, thank you very much.
I don't care that my computer told me we have twenty-five gazillion friends in common.  Maybe because no one checks people anymore . . . but I'm no longer taking the word of my computer that we have people in common.  I don't care! 
If someone is hocking a product I'm not comfortable with, I'm going to ignore their request.  If I see them phish in my stream about something I'm not comfortable with, I'm deleting . . . and our twenty-five gazillion mutual friends can have you pollute their sites with this crap, but I won't.
My social media is now like a garden I've got to tend to . . . and weed periodically.

     A short while ago, I wrote a blog regarding the upcoming increases that will be coming to mortgages as a result of recent government Enactments regarding Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac.
 
     I found a recently-written article in National Mortgage News.  It presses home the same message as my blog. Time is of the essence for those buyers presently in the home buying process ... but even more so for those that are contemplating a home purchase or refinance of their present mortgage within the near future.
 

     


     Simply said, taking action NOW is much better than later ... when it comes to costs associated with mortgage financing.  Wait too long, and you'll pay more.
 
     

     So, my suggestion is this ... should you even be flirting with the idea of buying a home or refinancing ... start gathering the information and financial documentation that will be REQUIRED by your mortgage lender when applying for your loan.
 
     Should you decide not to buy, no harm ... no foul.  At worst, your financial records are probably better organized than they were previously.  But if you DO decide to pursue home buying or refinancing, you'll be ahead of the game, ready to go, and be much better positioned to advance your mortgage application and mortgage processing quickly.  And possibly save yourself from those rising costs being talked about.
 
    What documents and information are needed when you apply for mortgage financing?
