Some books you try several times to read before you crack their code. I remember picking up a paperback of William S. Burroughs' "Naked Lunch" years ago and being unable to get past the first 30 pages or so

We took the scenic route home from Ashland through Jacksonville and the Applegate Valley.  We happened upon Eve's Garden Cafe and Tea Room and decided to stop and have a late lunch/brunch.  The garden was lovely and the food was excellent with generous portions, always a plus in my husband's mind. There's albums that are loved by someone, but don't quite become "classics" to the mainstream. Everyone knows "Highway 61 Revisited" when they think of Bob Dylan, but who sticks up for, say, "Infidels"? Here's an occasional series that looks at lesser-regarded albums that I really dig.
