There are songs that make people feel guilty? I have my share of guilt over the usual everyday kinds of things, but music doesn't figure in those. I can't even report anything as interesting as songs I've avoided over the guilty feelings they conjure.Maybe the closest to this is "
The Blazers hiring Buck Williams to be an assistant coach and community liaison brought back a flood of memories of the Drexler-era Blazers. Williams himself played a prominent role in that time, of course. Somehow you always felt secure when Buck took the court. There were better power forwar

My first submission for the term has been turned in. Twice. I forgot to number the pages, and I think I still had a bunch of highlighted words in the text. I overuse certain words: darkness, stumble, was, is, he, she. Okay those last two are just for funsies, but I do overuse words. I [...]
Last night we got to see an early screening of Dinner for Schmucks which tells the story of Tim (Paul Rudd), a guy on the verge of having it all. The only thing standing between him and total career success is finding the perfect guest to bring to his boss’ annual Dinner for Extraordinary People, [...]

A few months ago I read about Anne Lemanski and her stitched paper sculptures in Fiberarts magazine. You can see a lot of it on her web site here. I have been fascinated by creating 3-dimensional stitched work for a long time. I have shown a lot of

Saw this quiz on Breda’s blog, and of course had to take it: You are 20% hippie. You’re not in the lowest bracket of non-hippie-hood, but you’re close. I advise a field trip to a food co-op or a farmer’s market. Do a few interviews and take notes, because there will be a quiz next [...]

Last weekend we took another great camping trip. Oh, how we love summer and the camping trips it brings :) In any case, last weekend we drove only 1-1/2 hrs east to Memaloose State Park in the Columbia Gorge. It is one of the hottest spots in the Columbia Gorge and temperatures last weekend were in the low 90s..
Here's a quote I found while reading Einstein's biography. This is a much better articualtion on atheists than I've been able to come up with. Art is a very sensory experience . . . so much so, that some artists even seem to convey smells, tastes, and textures through their images alone. I think you’ll agree that Jelaine Faunce is one such artist
I tied a few of these this weekend and received a comment (Josh McFadden @ hatchhunters.com) that I shouldn’t use an under layer of chenille, or anything but flattened lead and multiple layers of the wrapped condom.
